Online Auction Policy

This page was set up to inform clients or potential clients of the New Moon Comics, LLC online (Auction) sales policy when ordering any items from New Moon Comics, LLC on eBay.

GENERAL 

  1. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are offered.*
         a. All items on sale are given specific descriptions.
         b. Buyer should read those descriptions and ask specific questions
             based on their needs.
         c. All questions are answered as soon as we are notified.
         d. If questions are NOT answered it means we were not alerted to them.
             Send us an Email as soon as you can.
  2. We reserve the right to cancel any/all bids from any buyer based on their current ratings or past dealings with buyer.
  3. No warranty/guarantee is offered or implied on any item.
  4. All items are sold "as is" and any flaw is listed in the description of the item. Questions should be asked based on buyers needs!
  5. All items are "new" (unless otherwise noted) and come complete.*
  6. All Magazines, Comic Books, and cards are "used" and the condition is based on our personal observation, we do not pretend to be professional graders of these items, If you have questions about the grading, please ask! We will gladly provide as many high-resolution scans as you need for any item in order for you to get a better indication of the condition.*

PAYMENT

  1. Payment is due no more than seven (7) business days from auction close. unless other arrangements were made.
  2. Payment should be in US FUNDS only.
  3. PayPal is our preferred method of payment. Send PayPal payments to: sales@newmooncomics.com
    We also accept:
         a. Any national bank issued Cashiers Check.
         b. Any local bank issued Cashiers Check.
         c. Any national bank issued Personal Check.
         d. Any local bank issued Personal Check.
         e. Any bank issued Company/Corporate Check.
         f.  United States Postal Service Money Orders.
  1. We do not accept Credit Cards via e-Mail or over the phone (however, You may use PayPal).
  2. We do not accept COD orders.
  3. We do not offer any payment plans.
  4. We can/will not be held responsible for CASH sent in the mail. You should NEVER send CASH. If you are having problems getting a money order, or cashiers check, let us know. Late payment is better than stolen/missing ones.

SHIPPING

  1. Shipping rates are non-negotiable, and are clearly marked on each auction listed. Please factor in cost of shipping when placing your bid.
  2. All items purchased that are being shipped anywhere in the United States are shipped via USPS-Media Mail or Parcel Post w/Delivery Confirmation.
  3. USPS-Priority Mail and Express Mail are available at additional cost to buyer.
  4. All items purchased that are being shipped outside of the United States are shipped via USPS-Air Mail.
  5. INSURANCE IS OPTIONAL!

PAYMENT - SHIPPING TIME/DELAY

  1. New Moon Comics, LLC ships out all auction items within three (3) business days (Saturday, Sunday, and any Holiday are not "business days").
  2. All items paid by PayPal will ship on the SAME WEEK of receipt of payment if payment is received on or before Thursday.
  3. All items paid by Cashiers Check or Money Order will have a 3 business days hold to allow for funds to clear our bank. Items will ship with the next batch of orders after funds have cleared.
  4. All items paid by Personal Check will have a 5 business days hold to allow for funds to clear our bank. Items will ship with the next batch of orders after funds have cleared.

SATURDAY, SUNDAY, and HOLIDAYS are NOT Business days

COMMUNICATION

  1. At the close of the auction or sale you will be informed with an Email message that lets you know that you are a buyer (winner) of the item. The message will provide our shipping and payment information (This can can be done by us, or by eBay).

  2. We do require an Email confirmation within 3-days that you have received this Email. We do ask that you let us know how you will pay for the item. At that time, please provide us with your shipping information this way we may "ready" your order.
         a. Any special shipping instructions should be given to us in this reply.

  3. Payment is due no more than seven (7) business days from auction close date, or your order will be canceled. And the item will be offered to a reserve bidder, or re-listed.

  4. Upon receipt of your payment you will be informed via Email that your payment has arrived (unless you pay via PayPal), and given the date your package will be shipped (depending on when the payment was received and type of payment).
         a. We ask that you kindly rate us as a seller once your item is received.


FAQ

Q: Why do I have to wait for my check to clear even after I already ordered from you in the past?

A: Sad to say, but the dishonest people ruin it for everyone. To protect our business, we hold all orders when personal (or company) checks are involved for up to 5 business days.

Q: You said shipping was $8.45 and it only cost you $6.45!

A: Our shipping charges include a modest "Handling Fees" of $2.00 and is "locked". Everything goes out USPS (United States Postal Service) Media Mail, Parcel Post, or at the customers request, we'll ship out Priority Mail or Express Mail. The $2.00 Handling Fee covers our expenses; boxes, material, time to package the item, visits to the Post Office to drop off the package.
Also, when you receive items from us, you'll discover we don't just "throw them in a box". We take care of your items, because they were once ours, and are still important to us!

Q: Why don't you allow refunds?

A: There are few exceptions to this policy. Write us! However, not to sound like a politician, we sell everything "as is" when comes to books, magazines, comics and other collectibles, there is just too many dishonest people that ruin it for the good ones...

Q: Why should I rate you (Positive)? 

A: What you wish to rate us is your choice. We have been buyers and sellers on Yahoo! and eBay for many years - Our personal accounts are flawless - our company will strive for that same perfection. We will do everything in our ability to make your transaction go smoothly. However there are times when things are out of our control. We only hope you can take that into consideration when giving any rating. Delay in receipt of your payment due to USPS delays are not our fault or yours. We give ratings based on the entire transaction, not focusing on the things that go bad.

Q: I live outside the United States, what is your shipping policy for me?

A: Shipping outside of the United States can be a chore! With hundreds of countries, it's hard to narrow down the exact shipping method that each country accepts. For the most part, Air Mail Parcel Post is routinely accepted in most countries, as is Global Priority. We will use any shipping method that both the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE and your country allow.

Q: You said you shipped the package on October 1, why did I get it on October 14?

A: This sounds like you selected Media Mail or Parcel Post as a shipping method. As stated in the above chart, the United States Post Office states that Media Mail and Parcel Post can take anywhere from 3-9 days (this does not include Sunday's and Holidays). If you count the shipping days, starting with the 2nd, and subtracting any Sunday's and Holidays (Columbus Day), you'll see that the time/transit was 9 days.

Q: I have a question, how should I ask it?

A: We will answer questions no matter where they are presented. If we are advised of a question on an auction, we will do our best to answer it ASAP! Email is answered as soon as it is received.

FEEDBACK

After much education, our feedback policy is as follows:

Feedback is left for the buyer once the transaction is complete. We want to make sure you're happy or we've had the chance to correct any problems before leaving feedback.

This is not to imply that if we receive negative feedback, we'll respond in kind - That is NEVER the case. However, if you take the time to rate us, we will respond with an honest equitable rating (irregardless if your rating of us). We do not believe in the "retaliatory feedback" practiced by too many buyers and sellers.
